Hello Bill. Talking about ups and downs in our stocks. I just listened to CNBC about Gnet and Insp merging. I told myself: How can this happen to so many of my stocks? Example:Aol. I was worried for a second that Gnet was buying Insp but it's the other way around. Thank goodness. It's Infospace that has a good infrastructure on the net. Well, I guess I will own a little bit of SI soon. Maybe I can go to a meeting one of these days, when I am in Seattle, and ask them to go back to the old SI. gg. Good thing I own Insp in my IRA. No telling what this will do now. So far, so good. Lucky GNET holders. They will get 1.8 of my shares for every share they own in GNET. But Gnet did have a good report and one of the Msft founders still has a stake in Gnet. Wow. Those internet cos. are merging one after another.

The NAZ did well in the end. Maybe it will soon go to higher grounds even though many analysts are now talking about a 6 week lull in the markets.

I listened to a cpl of commentaries today. Most analysts now expect that the FED will not raise interest rates. So maybe now we don't have to worry about rate hikes but wait, according to many analysts, now comes the good stuff. Now that the FED may be done raising rates, the analysts worry about lower growth in stocks. Bill on CNBC told one of those analysts: You know, the stock market just can't have it both ways. You can't hope for a slower economy so that the FED does not raise rates anymore and then squawk about lower earnings because of a slower economy. I was glad that Bill Griffeth told that guy.

We know that some of those analysts are for the birds. They love to sock it to us either way. Making money for their houses is still their goal. So it's still up to us to listen and read all the news concerning our stocks. Sheesh. What a game!

BTW. My former JDSU is doing a yo yo act. I missed it at 129. It's 139 right now. But, like I said, I think I leave it alone for a while. But I do believe in the optics and will still try to pick it up again. It had a little run.

Vrsn did great. I did not get my clock cleaned after hours. It's not down too much. Maybe VRSN will help the NAZ tomorrow but one never knows. Sev. cos. came in with good earnings.
