OK, I'm gonna set myself up for more charges of accommodation by our very own Wicked Witch of the East. But I've re-read the crisis area of MinSub, and I am coming more and more to the conclusion taht tehre is no one extra-bad actor in the whole sordid episode. While some remarks could be construed as really mean toward Ron and Penni, this was preceded by Feel-XXX cavortery which without context could be viewed as rather hostile. I believe more and more that M and P more or less inadvertently nailed each other's "hot buttons". While I do not advocate completely exonerating some folks for some stuff said while in some mood, it needs to be recognized that both parties felt genuine pain and shock. Call it "failure to communicate" iff you will. But I invoke the Feelie charter and ask all to acknowledge the depth of insecurity and bewilderment displayed by both principals, and to treat these feelings with circumspection even if the way these feelings surfaced remains obscure. I don't like being squarely at ground zero of the spasm war that occurred. Through some quirk of cybernetic nuclear physics I came through with a low neutron count. I don't know why. I hear some grumblings as to my special status. I didn't set it up that way. My dilemma: Penni is my friend. So is Mephisto. I want to do my best to be a source of mirth to both. I will not be induced ti choose. While I have more insight into how it unfolded for Penni, I sense that Mephisto felt attacked in her own front yard as well. I will not give more weight to one perspective over another absent better information. Folks, please play nice on the subject.
