Ron baby, Russ will have his hands in this new company big time.
Oh, no doubt that he will, and will display stellar results for INSP.
However, the original premise of GNET's appeal was that PA was priming the company for his "wired world" concept and using GNET as his portal. But now, considering all the agreements and relationships that INSP has will all of CHTRs competitors, somehow I get the feeling that CHTR will be up for sale pretty quick.
HOWEVER, that said, I DO agree that INSP received one hell of a steal through this incredibly accretive deal. Afterall, with few resources, fewer shares outstanding, and almost NO street coverage, GNET was bringing home the same level of revenues and profits that INSP was.
THIS SCENARIO SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVERSE OF WHAT OCCURRED TODAY!!! It should be GNET buying out INSP!!! For 40 million measly shares, they are essentially buying an exact clone of themselves (from revenue and earnings history).
What really kinda gets my goat here is that Russell was just discussing how the crash of the internet bubble was creating all of these opportunities for GNET to acquire internet properties on the cheap. But instead, its GNET that he agrees to sell on the cheap (at least when compared to the market cap of INSP).
The price should have been at least equal to or above the previous high this stock saw.
I just find it a bit ironic. However, I think INSP is a screaming deal right now. That there is no doubt about.
