Wouldn't the gorilla company for 3G have to cross the chasm? Yes and no. 3G is an incremental step and thus doesn't really have to do much to get through the pre-chasm and chasm stages in the way that an unfamiliar technology does, despite being a large enough quantum leap that it enables new possibilities and thus qualifies for a tornado of its own. Sort of a chasm with a bridge?
