China will be a threat in the future- both militarily and economically- I don't think it can be helped. India also will probably be an adversary. These are huge ascendant countries- I don't think we can avoid conflict at some point.

We will be like England and the great powers of Europe were for several hundred years, I suppose. There will be shifting alliances, wars and skirmishes.

Of course small terrorist threats and civil wars will fire up occasionally- but the real threats to us will come from India and China and our own internal problems, Just my opinion.
