Dain Rauscher Part 2

- a product perspective ... knowledge management 1% (vs. 15% last quarter, which contained a few very large deals). That means they took in only $124,000 for KM. I was puzzled that the CEO did not say more about Knowledge Management in the CC. In 1Q CC he twice made the comment that NETP had "a number of undisclosed customers" and that the "pipeline in KM was very, very strong ....we are seeing very strong demand in KM". In fact, we learned of only 1 new customer for KM over and above JP Morgan and Proctor and Gamble which were included in 1Q. It was these remarks that caused me to expect higher revenues than we got, because KM products are big ticket items. The only reference in the 2Q CC was to KM having a longer sales cycle because it requires a pilot sudy and that it is only after the pilot study and after the installation is up and running that the win is announced. But, in my view, irrespective of any announcement, if there were revenues they would have to be booked. Taking the CEO's comments in 1Q and 2Q I would have to believe that 3Q will see a jump in revenues from KM - I certainly hope so because the company has stated that it wants to diversify and AUTONOMY is showing that that there is a big market for KM in government and education and among the Fortune 500. This could be a business on its own without the need for acquriring other companies.
