Mr. Takeda, (35) is a veteran mountain climber and writer. He did his

writing career. He is a Senior Contributing Editor for Climbing Magazine and

performed research and development for equipment manufacturers including

retail sales, and from 1996 to 1997, was marketing director for Blue Star
International, the exclusive distributor of the French made Cousin Rope in
North America.
