If he's correct, it's hard to believe the market could be so inefficient. QCOM price would be running up.. OTOH,the extensive discussion here indicates that this isn't a simple affair to sort out. There has been very little discussion here of a main reason for spin outs- allowing the separate companies to find their own P/E ratios thus revealing hidden values.
Just listened to the CEO of Nokia on CNBC - he thinks that nothing has changed, there is no change in market dynamics. Somehow it seems like I've heard this kind of denial before, believed it, and paid a big price when the stock went down and didn't recover.
