While W-CDMA is expected to carry 80 percent of the global market, the
market for cdma2000 is expected at only 20 percent.

I have to admit that I used to take statements such as above for granted, assuming there is some truth to it.

Not only is it undecided, I think w-cdma may just be vaporware. DoCoMo is supposed to launch some type of a patched up w-cdma next spring. We shall see.
