A bit OT
You remind me of a game I play in my 401k where I buy a mutual fund every 0.25 down and sell every 0.50, or 0.75, or 1.00 (depending) to the upside.
I buy or sell the same dollar amount, taking the gains in shares.
I almost ran out of cash once, but you can widen the buy intervals, or stop buying any time.
It keeps the 401k from getting boring.
