I think you miss the point entirely. The Golden Rule incorporates universality within it. That means that an action would be considered moral only if it was good for all human beings. Your example of masochism is ludicrous; for if everyone was a masochist the world would be an unsafe place to live, to say the least. You'll need a better argument to invalidate the Golden Rule. I haven't heard one yet.
