Les, this is another potential trouble spot of "the new economy". Gold will explode to the upside if SE ASia will recover or there will be some type of financial crisis. All those shenanigans initiated by government to shoe low inflation will backfire quite wildly. My conclusion there will be a need for a recession to avoid financial disaster. BWDIK Haim
