Corvis IPO price raised yet again to $36/share. Suspect it will trade above 100 at the open tomorrow. I haven't decided how to play this yet. I think the company, technology, management, business model are all 1st rate, but even at this late date I haven't decided whether to jump in tomorrow or wait a few days/weeks for better buying opportunity. While typical IPOs go through a sell off period for weeks or months after the initial offering, I'm not sure that CORV is going to be typical IPO. With roughly $1/2 Billion in potential orders within the first year of public operation, $1/2 billion in VC money ahead of the IPO, and significant equity positions held by the likes of Cisco, Williams, and Broadwing, this stock may be a unique situation. Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.
