I'm Signist's daughter Lorraine, filling in for Dad, who is too busy right now to post. (No, he hasn't jumped out the one-story window as he has so often threatened to do, he's fixing his laptop.) About an hour ago, we saw the after hours guy on CNBC (whose name escapes me) mention MRVC. It was a very quick segment-less than a minute- but we think we heard him say that MRV had made double the earnings they did last year. Dad said that either Mr. CNBC is confused or we are. Mr. CNBC also said that he attributed the drop in price to the new acquisition (?) There was no mention of the missing earnings penny, so all in all, I thought it was a very positive mention. Did anyone else happen to catch it and could offer their thoughts? For the record, I've been long on MRV since Oct '97. I've seen the dark days when we were down to $6.25 a share and the euphoric March run-up and subsequent free-fall. Even though today was scary, there are just too many positives about this company to lose heart. Although I don't post, I do read this thread every day at work (I took the day off,thinking I was going to celebrate!) and I want to thank you all, especially Sector and Greg, for their great information. You are a stellar group!
