You sure wouldn't think so... I'm an idealist, and keep thinking (I guess dreaming) that just maybe someday the citizenry will be intelligent, and responsible, enough to sit for a bit and actually be able to hear an honest (that word is HONEST) exchange of ideas of ALL the important issues that we as a country face...without ANY rancor, name calling, idiotic flimflammers like Carville, etc....no table pounding, just honest exchange of thoughts and ideas.
What has happened, at least IMO, is that we are all so tired of all the rhetoric and political correctness and name calling, that most with brains turn them off.
There are many important issues. There are many views and opinions. Just for once, I'd like to see and hear some concrete FACTS on both sides of the fence of an issue.
Wonder if we will live long enough to be able to do that?
