Seems to be problems cropping up all over the high growth tech sector, PC hardware, software, semi's and telecoms seem to be projecting a deacceleration of growth going into the second half. While they still seem reasonably healthy the problem is valuation APCC seems to be telling investors the growth rates of 30-40% are destin for single digits to the teens, which is going to bring that p/E down pretty quick as seen in the aftermarket. Same story with Nokia which carried over to TI and further hastened the fall of the chip sector.
The chips have been in a free fall this week and in general it appears the crowd is rotating out of the popular sectors of late seeking more value in some of the more reasonably priced sectors.
Interestingly the economic picture appears steady.....
