Good points! I agree with the IP issue and certainly the contractual relationship between Intel and Rambus is in full operation.

If I were a PC system manufacturer or distributor, I would want to make certain I was getting licensed memory and chipsets for my products. Why buy DDR Dram or Sgram from Micron when you can get licensed product from Toshiba?
Why take the capital risk?

RAMBUS should not hesitate to institute infringement suit in the ITC and the Federal court and foreign courts against "willfull infringers".

How could such companies be regarded as anything other than "willfull infringers" when they are aware of the patents, have been put on notice, and yet manufacture new products that infringe. It is intellectual property piracy!

This is why sensible companies will license the intellectual property created by Rambus.
