It is not that I do not have a profound respect for the various members of this thread, individually (with a very few notable exceptions) and as a group I hold you guys (and to be PC, gals) in very high regard. BUT..I am far more comfortable with the rather dismal apparent outlook lately than I was with the recent "irrational exuberance" (to borrow a phrase from Mr. G.) that I was witnessing only about 25 points ago and such a relatively short time ago. If I were not already "up to my eyeballs" in the common, I would be loading up here and looking to load up some more at other prices (possibly higher and/or lower.) I became increasing nervous as speculation became rampant that closes above certain prices almost guaranteed further gains and possible near term targets in the $100 to $120 range. It may often work out that way, but it never has for me with any consistency that I have able to rely on.

The common, here, is cheaper; and remember that the phrase is "BUY LOW THEN SELL HIGH". UNLESS THINGS CHANGE DECIDEDLY FOR THE WORSE, I DO NOT EXPECT TO BE SELLING ANY COMMON SOON!

There exists some unconfirmable data that some things are evolving negatively on certain fronts and AMAZINGLY positively on some others. Unless we deviate from this overall pattern, I do not expect to deviate from my conviction that holding on for the long term is the wisest course for me.

COMMENTS WOULD BE APPPRECIATED.

Regards,

DARBES
