I believe the GOP candidate usually gets about 5% and the donkey candidate gets about 10%. But Bush is a better candidate that all recent GOP candidates - save Reagan - and AlGore the Junior is worse than recent donkey candidates, including Dukaka. Plus the donkey convention looks like it will be the worst since '68 and the GOP no longer has to sport Buchanan.
