I've seen quite a few of these small- to mid-cap tech stocks taken out and shot this year. I have one mutual fund, Acorn USA, which is full of these kinds of stocks. Wow, its enough to make you move to large-cap tech stocks. Let me see, who else has been shot? Symantec, Parametric, Computer Associates, and Micros Systems, to name a few. If I wanted to expand the list, all I'd have to do is list the top 10 holdings in Acorn USA.
