Many times we discussed the selloff that would occur during the July Earnings. . .and that it would not end until the FOMC meeting on August 26. I've battened down the hatches and am ready for the worst. . . playing near-term shorts and holding plenty of cash for bargain core-positions on winning stocks that get haircuts for poorly timed bad news.

Make no mistake. . .I plan to buy techs again by the end of the month. . .

But look at the decline in the COMPX [daily] from March 27 to April 17. . . it is incredible. It is an 1800 point drop in the Nasdaq in just 3 weeks. Now look at where we are today. This is why I think we could hit 3000 or even lower this time around.

And back in March when I kept saying that we were selling in April and buying in mid-August, this is what I was talking about. Until we get the Greenlight from Greenspan, there is just not enough "oomph" to get a real rally started. But once we get that promise of no more hikes in 2000, we will ROCKET northward, like nobody has ever seen before. . . breaking all records.

The trick is being there before everyone else. . .and loading up with the right stocks at the best prices.
