Even in it's permutations of photons, different frequencies of waves, different luminosity and intensities, light remains pure.....energy.
Light gives.
Light loves.
Light radiates.
Light transforms.
Light empowers.

Once you move away from the "light" to darkness the power of fear replaces the power of love.
For when we turn away from "the light" we are facing darkness and the only "light" in the darkness is that which comes from others.
When we face darkness our relative perception of the world changes. When viewed from a position/filter of fear, the stars in the sky at night look cold and questions about the meaning of who we are and why we are here abound.
Facing darkness, we naturally, almost instinctively - out of self-preservation - seek to replace risk with security. Unknowingly, the power of fear drives us on this eternal quest for "security."
And in this fear-based quest for security end up looking for meaning and answers and values which "outside" of ourselves. Just like the way we feel when we look at the stars and "wonder why." Just like the way we enter into the relative/conditionalized/comparative energy/light black hole which assigns/attaches/hinges our personal value "relative to" someone/something/somewhere else. What other people have which which we don't have becomes grist for the mill. And all these riskless feelings of anger, entitlement and blame appear eminently "rational" and "logical."
"They have money and I don't so either somethings wrong with "me" or "they" are to blame" in some way shape or form.
When we are all facing the darkness, the world looks like one helluva scaryingly, funny, chaotic, confusing place. Right and wrong become grey and since "everbody does it" everything essentially devolves into the Big Kahuna of energy-taking black holes - POLITICS.
For all the great political masters are great at one thing: NOT RISKING - ie. playing both sides against the middle while using all the tools of SPIN - labels, definitions, media, groups, etc. to weave a very confusing/changeable tangled web which hooks others for a personal benefit.

Wrong!
Real love is always selfless. Real love never expects anything in return. Real love gives, forgives, has compassion and is patient. But real love is also very powerful, full of conviction and courage. It doesn't filter, conditionalize, limit or refract. It only wants to empower and grow and continue forgiving and giving, on and on, etc.

Yup, all the power of creation resides within each of us. The only difference is how we perceive and believe in this power - ie. to control for our own purposes or to let go and accept for the benefit of others and ourselves.
I'm a firm believer that when only help ourselves when we truely embrace risk and help others without ANY expectation for any return. As soon as we expect the conditionalized quid pro quo we pinch ourselves off from truly risking/exposing and thus fail to love.
To the person facing darkness this all sounds like just another person's opinion, judgement or agenda. Which is exactly right.
For only by acting and risking and giving can you express/share this energy.
