I have been a harsh critic of Maria, but I will say this: I have noticed on several recent occasions that Maria is asking some very insightful and "tough" questions of her interviewees. For example, in the Internet roundtable just now, she brought up the issue of Net advertising dropping off with the tech selloff this spring, and that the selloff could easily continue. She really conducted the interview like a pro.
