Dennis,

As you know I am looking at a short-term bounce, in a downtrend.

All those recent breaks to the down side in the many wedges and flags normally dont get resolved immediately.

Look at the VIX. With all this selling, its only in the mid-20's. Keep in mind that it got as high as 40 this year, 65 in 1998 and 170 in 1987. So the VIX is nowhere near an important top right now.

Im not saying crash, just either a downtrend with lower lows and lower highs or a tighter trading range at these lower levels.

Plus the issue of seasonality is not favoring the long side at this time. Doesnt mean that some stocks are not near their bottoms right now, but they can also stay there for awhile.
