Perhaps the path of least resistance is to report whatever drivel the sell-side analysts are putting out. I would certainly not want a job which required me to "explain" why each stock moves in this direction or that. There isn't any question in my mind that their "reporting" exacerbates short term volatility, and therefore, is an investor's real friend.
