Actually, Barry they can only claim royalties back to the date of the issue of the relevant patents. In some cases, this is 1999 although I think they had a few patents issue in 1996 most were still working their way through the patent office.

Remember too that the settlements are to be amortized over a 20 quarter period. This means that they show up in the following quarter as 1/20 of the settlement amount.

I agree that the licensing is proceeding at a more rapid rate than I had anticipated. We have had 3 licenses in less than a month and I believe the are negotiating with at least 11 other firms.
