Rande: You asked us to post what we thought your greatest call was. I have been thinking about it and realize that even though I have made money here, the greatest thing I read was something that you posted on a penny stock thread about 18 months ago. I had spent 6 months turning $1,500 into $40,000 and then lost the majority back in 30 days. You had written a post on how to recognize penny stock scams and it really hit home how incredibly stupid I was being. It was a wake up call. It opened my eyes about the "companies" I was "investing" in and I immediately started to clean up my act. About six months after that my mother passed on and left me a considerable sum of money - money that my mom and dad had worked 60 years for. It has occurred to me more than once that had I not read that post on penny scams....well you can imagine where some of that money probably would have wound up. I have since made informed decisions on good investments with quality companies. Not all of them have brought me a great return, but many of them have. I would have done even better if I had taken heed to your call last March on the tech top, but sometimes I'm a slow learner.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that to me, your greatest "call" was actually that penny scam post. You didn't have to write that post, You didn't make any money on it and it was plain to me that your motives were sincere. I hope you still occasionally post it in all the appropriate places.
