Hasn't Intel publicly said that it has TWO fabs with 10K WPW capacity? If Fab 12 isn't one of these 10K fabs, what the heck are the 10K fabs making anyway? Petz I never said that Fab12 WASN'T 10K wspw. Last I looked, 10K IS greater than 5K. Isn't it?? Let's just "assume" for a moment, that > 5K means, Oh.... I don't know, let's say about 7.5K. Add on 1/3 for an expansion.... Voila.... do the math, it adds up. By the way, the local newspapers at the time of Fab12's original construction, called it "Intel's Largest Fab", and intel's Israel Fab18 was built AFTER Fab12. I doubt they would make it smaller. A little piece of info here, and a little piece there. :-) SemiconEng
