That link is fascinating! The company really is creating shareholder value. Now whether the market will take notice is another matter. :)

Based on the conference call, I believe the Venture Tracking stock will be issued ASAP - to avoid any situation similar to the Prism situation (which cost cdo -- due to its delay in filing for the IPO. Now cdo has Prism and its networth has dropped perhaps by 80-85% - as other DSL companies have in the past few months).

A couple of other Conference Calls issues:

The company has established additional reserves for the venture unit. The company will be able to disclose industry breakdowns (pertaining to what stakes are owned in the Venture portfolio) after the Venture quiet period ends. (Management did not have the industry breakdown at the cc.) The website was required to take down a lot of Venture info due to the quiet period.

As soon as the Prism issue is resolved (and I believe they want to dispose of this liability asap), I believe that will also give a bounce to Comdisco.

My impression of the cc is that the company will be spinning off the remainder of the Venture shares at the earliest possible moment. This is my opinion - and would like to hear any opposing views.

The idea of the Prism IPO is dead - based upon all of the information that I have gathered and listened to. Management wants out, and quickly. Prism is a cash burner! Opposing views are welcome.
