Good CDMA engineers should transition into good GSM engineers in 2 months or at the most. GSM is TDMA at the bottom layer. TDMA is TDMA is TDMA. There is nothing fancy about it. Its just timeslots for goodnes sake. Engineers pick that stuff up in their junior year in college.
