hey gottfried

"I have config.sys and autoexec.bat in the C:\ root directory"

me too. but again, my question for anyone is whether you have the autoexec.dos and/or config.dos files on your hd anyplace besides a c:\backups folder? my info has it that they should be in the c:\ root directory, but they aren't.

re sleep time for jazzy drive...

no, it's still reverting to default 30 minutes. i recall seeing a topic for a help item (probably in win98 annoyances website) about when windoze does not remember your changes. maybe if i run that down it'll shed some light.

interesting that you would include some iomega help links... i've been rather reluctant to even attempt to ask them for help lately, they've been so unresponsive. when i have a little more time later this weekend i hope to check out your links.

thank you, gottfried

:)
