fwiw...

and as follow up, after installing shutz 2000 last night, i have good news and bad news.

bad news is the "click left to shutdown" has caused windoze to hang twice. (it has also worked fine 2-3 times.) i never had shutdown hangs prior to shutz 2000.

the good news is that the "click right to restart" has worked fine each time.

you might say, well that's a lot of times to be shutting down and rebooting in such a short period <g3>. but i am kinda' test driving the freeware, and i also tend to shut down a lot more than i used to because of increased awareness of cable modem vulnerability.

anyway, i will keep shutz 2000 around for awhile for restart purposes and use the "C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.EXE user.exe, exitwindows" shortcut in my quicklaunch toolbar for one-click shutdowns.

:)
