Actually, Dense Wave Divsion Multiplexing is commerically available at 256 different lightpaths. Higher multiples are on the way. It is a rapidly grwoing business and some of the bigger players want a steady supply at lower prices than some of the current suppliers are providing. One of these will likely cut a big long term deal with RDRT. Load up.
