Mark, I've never used that catagory of programs but thanks for the feedback. For people that have cable modems that are concerned about security a guy named steve gibson wrote a web page that shows what information your computer is exposing to the world. WARNING useing the links on the page referenced may cause your system to crash. Mine never has however most people have normal systems <G>. grc.com steve also reccomends a program called zone alarm which is a freeware fire wall. I was never able to get it to run reliably on my system however as I said my system isn't normal Anyway this site (www.grc.com) is a favorite of mine so look around you might find something you like. Happy investing !. Edit I don't know why I can't put a link in but guess you'll have to cut and paste. Sorry.
