Hi umbro; Do you chartists have a very long term, very detailed chart for the Dow? It has been my observation that major changes in direction are preceded by long term increases in average volatility, and I was wondering if the '29 crash was preceded by volatility increases. (You have to have a logarithmic chart for this, otherwise the secular trend screws up the size.)

I used to have a multi-year wall chart of the Dow with bars showing the min/max by quarter, but I don't know where it is, and it stopped some years ago, anyway.
