Agreed. At the time I bought my 500MHz, I could have gone for the faster "cutting edge, higher MHz", but with my limited budget, I decided instead to put the money into the 256MB system RAM, and 32MB Video. Today, I'm STILL happy that I did it that way.

Who has the fastest, processor is pretty irrelevant to me. The intel stock that I've been holding since 1983 has split 6 times, and the 1983 shares now have an effective purchase price of ~ 50 cents.

I guess my investment philosophy is different from those on that "other board", but I'm still pretty satisfied with the investments that I made 17 years ago, when I got into this business. I'm not running out to sell anytime soon.
