Although we didn't see it coming, the PETD Yahoo board was doomed the moment we gathered together the material from numerous posters in March, April, etc and cobbled together the 1s draft of the POA challenging mgt policies. Certainly some disagreed with the effort. That's fine. But there were several pretty nasty critic. The "windbag" showed up 7/5 and those other occasional bashers stepped up their frequency behind his day and night bashing. It went on for wks with only an occasional day or two hiatus. At first I didn't respond thinking it would run it's course and we'd get back to a normal good board. Wrong. It just went on and on. Finally I noticed some were becoming suspicious of me because I wasn't vigorously defending myself. In other words, if Iso just lets these charges go unchallenged maybe there is some truth in what the evil windbag is saying. So I began to fight fire with fire. Then my friends were no longer reluctant to defend me.

It was an experience that didn't upset me all that much. By just skipping the flamer posts could keep my cool and come up with some zingers. Figured what the heck, if unarmed opponents keep insisting on a battle of the wits with me why shouldn't I have some fun. Sometimes fights are unavoidable if the people savaging you are truly sociopaths at best. But regarding the "evil windbag" in particular, I've come to the conclusion that you've hit the nail on the head, MARK
