The big caches are more important in heavy transaction applications than more megahertz. Looks like AMD is cache limited in their design or processing to me. Speaking of sacred, even a poorly supported out of the chute AMD CPU chip like Duron is still on hallowed ground to most of you guys. OTOH, I started serious bitching about Intel's Rambus strategy several months ago. Tony
