Not Good Enough

Now that you have started you must define all that is unacceptable.

It is fine for you to have as many opinions as you like (humble or not) but once you get involved in censorship you move onto very shaky territory.

While the Supreme Court has upheld the right of private organizations to specify acceptable and non-acceptable forms of behavior within their organization (as long as those standards do not act to violate the civil rights of the members) they have clearly indicated that such guideline must be clearly and unambiguously articulated and uniformly enforced.

Given SI’s recent failure to comply with its implied contractual obligations to its members (both with regard to the provision of reliable access and privacy) I wouldn't imagine that being the Defendant in a class action lawsuit is the way in which you want to become known to your new owner.

This is not a joke. SI may be an entertainment site for you, but for me, and a number of other members, it is no less of a mission critical business tool than an online data feed or an interactive trading site. SI should begin worrying about their business and stop getting involved in these playground squabbles.

Either provide me with a link that clearly set forth what constitutes a violation or reinstate Luc.

SI's assumption that a free membership for a friend absolves it from responsibility for the damages associated with the negligent manner in which the recent system changes were made it both insulting and naive. This capricious intrusion on its members right to free speech further reinforces the fact that management has absolutely no sense of the legal responsibilities associated with running a business.
