re: "It would not surpise me greatly if AMD is MUCH lower than $70 by AUgust expiration.
I hope that readers won't simply fall in love with the stock and focus on overall market risk as a factor and invest accordingly."

Comment: As all are now aware, if they weren't 2 weeks ago, anything goes in the short term...The longer term trading range between $63 and $95 remains in tact with support currently being tested at $70...A close below $69 would suggest a test of $63...The fact that Friday's close was above $70 on such an ignominous environment suggests to me that the AMD negative trend, assuming stailization of the general market (i.e Nasdaq at support at 3600) has run its course, and a new uptrend is about to unfold (maybe a couple of days of treading water, but don't count on it)carrying AMD well into the $80's, after experiencing some minor resistance at $80, over the next 2 weeks...On the basis of this short term outlook (albeit not without risk) I have been accumulating Aug. $70 calls...Just have to go with how I see it unfolding!!! (I'm sure Paulie will let us know what he thinks...after the fact!!! You know, armed with perfect hindsight and all!!! that wat he can ensure that he's right every time!!!)...
