What I believe about Gore is that you are not seeing a leader. His positions have no sound foundation. He will try to be whatever he perceives, by poll or direction from handlers, the public wants to hear. You have seen him waffle and stutter on things like Elian Gonzalez, etc.. You have seen him plead ignorance on being able to identify a fundraiser. You have seen him say his illegal fundraising had "no controlling legal authority." You have seen him brag about how he hoed, stripped and prepared tobacco and was "one of you." Then you have seen him talk about the tragic death of his sister (that happened before the speech of being a "tobacco man) and being against the tobacco people. I think most Americans would consider Gore a "fair weather" friend who could not be counted on.
