WHITE HOUSE BOMBSHELL: CHELSEA ADVISED FATHER ON MIDEAST SUMMIT

**Exclusive**

President Bill Clinton turned to his 20 year old daughter for advice and counsel during recent Mideast peace negotiations, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Details of Chelsea Clinton’s involvement emerged less than a week after Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat failed to craft a final agreement during intense talks mediated by President Clinton.

"It was very disconcerting," one senior official who traveled in the Israeli delegation said of Clinton’s consultations with his daughter. "It was ‘Chelsea this, Chelsea that.’ What could a young girl possibly know about the situation?"

The official approached the DRUDGE REPORT with notes and photographs that revealed Chelsea’s involvement.

One photograph taken at the White House on the day peace talks collapsed, Tuesday, July 25, captured the president’s daughter holding a folder while seated between Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, U.S. Mediator Dennis Ross and Bruce Riedel of the National Security Council.

"We were quite surprised by all of this," said the member of the negotiating team who spoke to the DRUDGE REPORT only on condition of anonymity. "Bill Clinton is not only giving his young Miss a front row seat, but also a seat at the table!"

A White House source on Sunday strongly denied Chelsea played any role in the Mideast summit.

But when pressed for comment on photographs and documents that place Chelsea at the center of action, the adviser later conceded the first daughter may have been a "casual observer".

"She is very interested in politics," said the Clinton aide after reviewing nearly a dozen photos that show Chelsea in various discussions with National Security Adviser Sandy Berger.
