PacBell is definitely GSM in San Diego. I've talked to GTE folks and none of them seem to know which way it's going to go. They're still selling CDMA phones for now. Remember that GTE has both CDMA and AMPS equipment just like Airtouch, so I suppose if ATT wanted to they could just leave things the way they are and force the out of town ATT customers to use analog roaming while in San Diego. Certainly not ideal for them, but give ATT some time to figure things out.LOL
Who knows, given enough time some ATT folks may even see the light.
