Thank for the Elliot Wave link... there is a new analysis but it's only for the DAX which won't of course go anywhere without US markets taking the same direction. Last close of DAX was 7128 an if 7000-7150 hold as a support level, consolidation should be done so far. First target should then be 7333. If broken, it should go to 7503 (last top). This is the bottom line for the analysis posted 29 Jul 00.

As the markets are all connected the US bigger caps should move similarly.

Fundamentally I can imagine that investors might have formed another conclusion over the weekend. While projections on GDP were much higher than expected, consumer spending and inflation was even lower. So what we have is a tremendous increase in productivity. So there could be an even more exciting scenario than a "soft landing": sustained high growth with price stability which would prove the proposed "new economy" rules to work... this would be very bullish...

The future trades already higher right now and I expect a higher open of European markets at least and I hope I will do well with my NOK call options...
