Depends partly i guess on what you look for in a thread, and how the community standards of each thread develop ... a few days ago i saw somewhere a great analogy - that while the SI thread of a company had the feel and function of a library, its Yahoo thread had those of a barroom ... well, while i dearly love a library and have been known to spend time in them, i confess i have spent more time in bars, and hour for hour may have learned as much there, albeit knowledge not readily classified by the Dewey system, lol.

Years ago we used to hang around the Quotron machine in the front room area of a smalltown broker, there was free coffee and stacks of old Northern Miners and annual reports and various propaganda, and a number of punters coming and going throughout the day ... the older and fatter and balder you were, the more status you had, or that's how it seemed to a skinny kid with hair, anyway ... the experience convinced me that there is for most people a large entertainment component to the speculation game.

That jerkoff over there is now accusing me of being a cpt insider ... so i'm in good company with keith in that respect -g- ... with an early morning coming i'll pass on the fistfight for now, let him stew a bit ... he almost, but doesn't quite, make one valid point -

The commitment of the HK financing brokers is crucial here imho ... now i don't think they are weak in their resolve to float SEG on the GEM, but the timing has never been written in stone, and i see the vulnerability there - that they may delay until spring '01 or even later ... the speckie market tankola has done two things - it has delayed pre-IPO funding coming in, and it has changed the mood to more of a 'show-me-first' framework ... it may be necessary for SEG to demonstrate their ability to execute the business model using such funds as they now have, before Tai Fook et al deem the timing to be auspicious for market acceptance.

Above not based on insider info or anything, just a guess, it's where i see the vulnerability, and in my opinion is the reason for the current share price trough ..... we have yet to survive August, and it could be rough, looks to me like the Nas will likely tank big this coming week ... i will continue to add cpt shares, among others, but i won't be using the rent money .... cheers, all

ps - Nick, you should change the jdx in your bio to ite ... got to keep up with the times -g- ... i still hold some of that one too ... and i'll be back in for a little bay soon as well.
