Looking at the big picture, I can see the markets swooning but then going up sharply:

- $3 bill net inflows in to equity funds last week
- almost every week this year there's been a net inflow
- baby boomers continue to sock away for their retirement
- Supply of stock available continues to dwindle due to stock buybacks by the Allstate's, MSFT's, Aetna's, Bear Stearns, and others
- Short interest is at a record or near-record high
- 30 year bond a paltry 6.0% or so
- George W. Bush & Dick Cheney about to be elected in November
