I anticipate that the de-orbiting of the Iridium satellites, whenever that occurs, will provide a boost in number of G* subscribers and MOUs, as the former Iridium users seek a replacement. Geoff Goodfellow (sp?), who used to visit this thread, once commented that he still used his Iridium phone after the Iridium bankruptcy and that he was not charged for its use, because Iridium no longer employed people to do the billing. If that situation has continued, and other Iridium users enjoy the same benefit, I can see that most users would prefer to stay with the free service as long as possible. G* is better, but for most users free is better yet. Any Iridium users out there who will comment?
