New story at Businessweek which mentions inflight aircraft telecommunications that features Qualcom and G*. ...Communication to and from the network on the ground will be through geosynchronous connection and Qualcomm's low-earth-orbit GlobalStar satellite network. Some passengers may even find that their laptops perform better in the air -- bandwidth and speed will be about the same as through a cable modem.... businessweek.com
