This is what is known as non-inflationary growth, as you have very correctly pointed out that with lower consumer spending and higher than anticipated GDP growth, we have a situation of 'product surplus' as a result of porductivity gains and efficiencies, overall this can be very positive for that markets, stocks like NOK TXN LSI ATML are worth a look and options can be bought the risk reward is weighed in favor of some long positions,, much better to wait for a test of 1400 on Sept contract or if we cross the 1442 on SPC or 1463 on sept contract..
