... Tell us about some of your plays ...

A while ago, a guy (LindyBill, I think -- but can't guarantee it) was quite pleased with making his first million in the market. He posted every trade he made on his journey from a modest start to this mile-post, including quantity and entry and exit prices. He also posted his reasons for making each trade: Some bad, most good.

Many participants posted congratulations and thanks for the insight(s) and help he gave others along the way. Reading the responses to his post convinced me that many participants on SI threads are truly endeavouring to help and support one another in achieving their investment goals. Unfortunately, many recent posts contain little evidence of this co-operative spirit today. The old-timers on this, and many other, threads remember the early days and continue their participation, patiently waiting for the return of beneficial posts worthy of the time taken to download and read.

I'm convinced that there are many successful investors lurking on this thread who refuse to dirty themselves through participation in the current mud-slinging. After all, when one is comfortably perched on an enormous pile of profits from a company as profoundly successful as CSCO, the motivation to engage in hissing matches with losers is understandably quite weak.

Cheers, PW.
